VINTAGE PACK – 73 Profiles

$39.99

M Britt Vintage Pack is a unique collection of Vintage amp profiles including a British 50w AC, a few blackface, silverface, and brownface beauties, Page and Peter Green’s hidden gem, a Sears Twin Twelve, the 70’s Clapton clean, Benson’s jazz combo, a Jazzy 50-watter, B.B. King’s and Ty Tabor’s favorite L5, and a sweet ’84 JK FACS.  There plenty of American clean and crunch tones as well as a few cool throwback British sounds.  The JC50 can cover about half of every 80’s rhythm guitar sound and the PTone and Lab Series can get surprisingly warm sounds from a solid state package.  Hopefully, there’s something for everyone (minus real high gain metal stuff, of course).

Vintage Pack requires 3.0 firmware or higher and while most amps were profiled using my trusty 3rd Power cabinet, the new separation algorithms make it easier to get more great sounds by switching to your favorite cabs as well.

I would give it 10 stars if I could. Honestly, this pack is worth it for the Lab Rats, 62 Deluxe, both Champion amps, and the 66 Proverb alone. I have found so many uses in these 5 amps that I doubt I will really need anything else…. Of course, that doesn’t mean I won’t want something else. These were my first M. Britt profiles and they did not disappoint. I will be back for more!

Steve Cook is the bassist/vocalist for Phil Vassar and I’ve been lucky enough to share the stage with him the past two years as part of our Christmas Tours. We both gravitate toward all aspects of music, including gear and had talked about bass and how the Kemper can be utilized for such low purposes. We kicked it around and back and forth and finally found time to go through the process of profiling all of Steve’s great bass preamp collection and even did road testing this past tour as Steve used his profiles on the Kemper the whole Christmas tour. It was a resounding success at foh and in the studio, so we’re happy to share them with you now. And for those karmically inclined, there’s also the added benefit of doing good. Steve’s son Miles was born with severe hearing loss and attends the Mama Lere Hearing School at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. ALL of the proceeds from this pack will go to Steve & Mama Lere Hearing School to help pay for the therapy his son and others so sorely need. READ HIS STORY HERE So… what’s in the pack? There are 51 unique profiles from 11 different bass preamps as well as 4 song-specific rigs Steve came up with from customer requests. I’m also including 20 bass profiles pulled from my BoC Pack so that bass players can get all of the bass profiles I have to offer in one place. Check out the sound samples from Steve’s video below and enjoy!

M Britt 800 Pack is for the long-haired tones of the 80's when hair metal bands roamed the Earth.  The earlier British metal-front amps turned into master volume monsters with preamp gain for days.  These 800-series amps were some of the most recorded tones of the era and I got my hands on a few different specimens, including a 100w 2203 clone, wicker front 800, as well as an original 50w chrome faced Jubilee and his 100w reissue cousin.  If you have an appetite for some kind of audio destruction or just want to rock your blues away, this may be the pack for you.

800 Pack requires 3.0 firmware or newer and while most amps were profiled using my trusty 3rd Power cabinet, the new separation algorithms make it easier to get more great sounds by switching to your favorite cabs as well.  The Clips below were recording using ProTools 10 with a Propellerhead Balance interface with no plug-ins or eq or processing using a Gibson '58 Les Paul RI with vintage output humbuckers.

When I think of my favorite overdrive tones, I always go to early 4-input Marshalls.  They can sound smooth or angry depending on how you play them.  I've gotten to play a couple of great old Plexis over the years and I own a '72 that I've profiled frequently.  I got the opportunity thanks to good friends to profile this '69 beauty.  It has been passed between friends from Nashville to L.A. and back.  It has that crispy top end that I hear on early Van Halen records.

I wanted to capture some variety, and even though I usually use my fave 3P 212 cab, I profiled this with 4 different cabs:  3P 212 CL80, Marshall 412 w/25w Greenbacks, Marshall 412 w/30w Celestions, and my Guytron closed back 212 w/Vintage 30.  I even got a few good clean sounds on top of the great overdrive tones.  There are even a couple where I just rolled the knobs up and dialed the Variac down to brown it out a little.  Hope you like 'em.

You just can't beat old Fenders for some things.  The midrange growl and squishy overdrive can be heard on so many albums that it just sounds like "home sometimes.  Tweedy pack contains profiles from a '56 Pro, '56 Twin (serial #0019), and one of the early USA made Pro Jr. amps.  The simple circuits allow for fat, full tones without a lot of weird eq dips or tone loss from modern "features".  I tried to capture some cleans as well as some classic tweed overdrive profiles.  I've already incorporated a few of these into my live show and they sound great for recording too.Morgan Amps are some of the finest boutique amps on the market and Joe Morgan was kind enough to ask me to be involved in his foray into the Kemper world. This Kemper profile pack contains 165 different profiles as well as a Performance for each of the amp models. This pack highlights 8 of some of his most popular amps: Josh Smith Signature JS12, PR12, 30/800, RCA35, PX50, JMI, AC20, and the MVP23. *Please note that these profiles require Kemper firmware 8.0 or higher to function properly.
