SWEET 16 PACK – 88 Studio Profiles

(4 customer reviews)

$39.99

I’m pretty excited to put out another “greatest hits” pack of profiles.  The Sweet 16 Pack includes 88 studio profiles of 16 great-sounding amps that cover everything from vintage British overdrive to grunge (Mars 72 SL, 900, 2K) to country cleans (65 Luxe Verb, 62 Prince, 62 Bandmate) to boutique classics (Buddha SD, Bog Sheba, Match Chief) to harder to find gems (Egniter Semi, Wild Kitty, Magnet Twilight, 3M Howl) to modern club staple amps (BBreaker, A30CC, Black* 60).

Having a Kemper already full of profiles, it’s hard to find new ones that will take the place of my longtime favorites, but there are rigs in here that are already finding a home in our live show, esp. the Luxe Verb, Mars 900, and Sheba rigs.  Indeed, there are too many good options sometimes. check out the sound samples below to see if they might be what you’re looking for.   As usual, please forgive the playing.  I pretty much run out of ideas after the first 4 clips so I just try to cover everything from bridge/neck pickups, single notes, picked chords, open chords and chunky fifths.

The Sweet 16 Pack was creating using the latest 5.x firmware.  Thanks!

I was looking for those! Great range of tones. They make my stratocaster sing!

  2. Kevin Zipperer

Your profiles sound just like the real amps! Thank you Mr. Britt for the awesome job you’ve done profiling all of these wonderful amps for the world! Kemper Amps should give you an award and free gear for demonstrating their product to the fullest potential.

    perfect!!!!

Fantastic tones. This pack has everything you could want from clean to saturated distortion. Every profile sounds good with my hot rod strat (with JB pickup)
and my Tele. What is amazing is that when I run into a profile that is just a little too bright, I bring down the treble just a tiny bit and it makes a huge difference
in the tone. Michael you are definitely the KING of kemper tones. Keep up the awesome work.

The Diaz CD100 is one of those amps you don't see every day.  The CD100 is a 100w beast based (a little) on the high powered tweed twins but with added reverb and some pull knob options for getting unique higher gain tones.  It stays bluesy no matter where it is (since Cesar Diaz was SRV's guitar tech), but can cover a great range of tones from country cleans to searing lead tones.  You can see why this is one of Warren Haynes' go-to amps.  I had a CD100 for many years on the road and eventually parted ways but I found another recently to bring those tones back to my KPA.  These profiles cover many of the amp settings along with some gain pedals in front.

Diaz Pack requires 3.0 firmware and while most amps were profiled using my trusty 3rd Power cabinet, the new separation algorithms make it easier to get more great sounds by switching to your favorite cabs as well.  These clips were recording into ProTools 10 using a Propellerhead Balance interface with no plug-ins or processing using my red Tom Anderson Cobra with 3 P90s (pictured above).  Check out the soundclips below and as usual please excuse the sloppy playing...

When I think of my favorite overdrive tones, I always go to early 4-input Marshalls.  They can sound smooth or angry depending on how you play them.  I've gotten to play a couple of great old Plexis over the years and I own a '72 that I've profiled frequently.  I got the opportunity thanks to good friends to profile this '69 beauty.  It has been passed between friends from Nashville to L.A. and back.  It has that crispy top end that I hear on early Van Halen records.

I wanted to capture some variety, and even though I usually use my fave 3P 212 cab, I profiled this with 4 different cabs:  3P 212 CL80, Marshall 412 w/25w Greenbacks, Marshall 412 w/30w Celestions, and my Guytron closed back 212 w/Vintage 30.  I even got a few good clean sounds on top of the great overdrive tones.  There are even a couple where I just rolled the knobs up and dialed the Variac down to brown it out a little.  Hope you like 'em.

Morgan Amps are some of the finest boutique amps on the market and Joe Morgan was kind enough to ask me to be involved in his foray into the Kemper world. This Kemper profile pack contains 165 different profiles as well as a Performance for each of the amp models. This pack highlights 8 of some of his most popular amps: Josh Smith Signature JS12, PR12, 30/800, RCA35, PX50, JMI, AC20, and the MVP23. *Please note that these profiles require Kemper firmware 8.0 or higher to function properly. Go to https://www.kemper-amps.com/ for more information. The Grab n Go Pack contains 92 studio profiles of 13 different amps, mostly small combos, but also a couple of small heads and even one slightly larger combo.  I profiled these amps to cover most types of gigs, ranging from country to jazz to classic rock.  There are lots of nice clean sounds if you want to use your Kemper as a pedal platform and there are some great lead tones in it as well. And for the first time this pack also includes some full performances as well.  If you’re not the kind of guy that likes to program and tweak, I am including 3 performances with fx already assigned that cover cleans to mid gain overdrives to lead tones.  Also, there are 3 "Broadway" performances with some common Nashville cover song preset rigs for inspiration or use them right out of the box. You can also read the background of the Grab n Go Pack HERE. There are some really great rigs in this pack. Check out the demo video to hear them below. The Crank n Go Pack contains 63 Studio Profiles as well as 59 of their Merged counterparts (Sometimes the merged profiles just don’t measure up or come out right). This pack is primarily for cranking up and rockin’. My main focus was getting good, thick rock tones that still retained the clarity and bite that cover everything from 70’s to 90’s rock, everything from bell bottoms to hair bands. This pack also includes 3 Performances as well for those wanting a quick plug’n’play experience. Two of the performances feature specific amps and the third is just a hodgepodge of cool rock tones, everything from clean to melt-your-face.
